For more than 200 years the trade secret has jealously been kept and the three various propiétaires families of the Four des Navettes since its creation in 1781 were transmitted the exclusiveness in the know-how of origin.
The famous navette of Saint-Victor are only elaborate and manufactured with the Four des Navettes according to a respectful receipt of the artisanal traditions.
Today the Four des Navettes belongs to the family IMBERT, Jean-Claudde IMBERT Master craftsman Baker and his NICOLAS son continues in the same way, that of the love of the trade and the respect of the so expensive tradition in the middle of all the Marseillais.
Two away centuries always there, the Four des Navettes is, it respects and transmits know-how and the long queues during the festivals of the Candlemas, testify to the fidelity of a whole area to a habit which is not ready to be lost.
